As I went through different websites and read multiple articles, there were five things that stuck out to me most about how to best build a portfolio website. The first thing being considering your brand voice. Your brand voice will tie to your vision, mission, and goals of who you are, and what you are striving towards. When thinking of my personal brand voice, I want to keep it professional and personal at the same time. Secondly, keeping your portfolio organized and user friendly will keep it easy to navigate and find all you are offering. Third, listing out experience, jobs, internships, certificates, awards, etc can give your audience a good idea on what it is they are looking for, and get a better idea of who you are. The fourth tip I have is to test opening your portfolio website on your laptop and phone to ensure the layout you have put together is manageable and able to view in both different layouts. The final piece of advice I would give you is including detailed captions. Adding detailed captions to your portfolio gives context and awareness about what it is you are trying to convey. I hope you will find these tips helpful and are are able to put them into use yourself!
